Helped with my hot flashes

So, I got one of those Koldtec cooling headbands because I've been having some awful hot flashes. It came pretty quick, like in 5 days or so. You just pop the inserts in the freezer and then put them in the band. It really does cool you down, which is awesome. Felt so much better, just a nice relief. I'm thinking of getting another one for my mom too.

Effective for workouts, good support

I purchased the Koldtec Halo and a set of replacement ice inserts for my gym sessions. Placing the order on their website was straightforward, no issues there. The package arrived in about 6 business days, which is reasonable. I had a question about washing instructions for the inserts, so I emailed customer service. They responded within a day with clear, helpful advice. The Halo itself is quite effective; it really helps manage my body temperature during high-intensity workouts. I found that the inserts stayed cold for about an hour as advertised. My only minor feedback is that sometimes the fit can feel a tiny bit awkward if not positioned just right, but it's easy to adjust. Happy with this purchase and the support I received.

Good cooling, slow delivery

I ordered a Koldtec Halo to try for my runs. The product itself worked pretty well, kept my head cool for a good while. I liked that it came with extra inserts. However, shipping took nearly 8 days to get to me in Arizona, which felt a bit long, especially for something I wanted for immediate use. Overall, a solid product but delivery could be faster.

Got the Koldtec Halo. It cooled me down fast. Easy to use. Shipping was okay. Will buy more inserts.

Anyone compared Koldtec to Mission cooling towels? Wondering if there's a big difference.

D Dana 3 weeks ago
I've used both. Koldtec with the actual ice inserts is way more effective for intense cooling. Mission is more of a damp, evaporative cool, good for lighter stuff.

Koldtec is a different league, in my opinion. Mission towels get warm pretty fast. The ice inserts in Koldtec make a huge difference in sustained cooling.

how long do the ice inserts actually stay cold? is it like a super short time?

G Gwen Kaur 1 month ago
Depends on how hot it is outside, but mine usually last for a good hour-ish during a workout. If you're just sitting, maybe longer.

I find they last around 45 mins to an hour for me during intense activity. Definitely worth having extra inserts if you're out for a while.

are there usually any good deals around black friday or cyber monday for these?

F Faith 3 weeks ago
Oh for sure! I snagged a bundle last Black Friday for like 20% off. Keep an eye out.

They usually have something. I've seen 15-20% off sales, sometimes free shipping too during those times.

hey, is koldtec stuff actually good for like, real hot weather? i get really overheated easily even just walking around outside in summer.

S Sam 3 weeks ago
Yeah, I have MS and use their headbands, they definitely help with heat sensitivity. Not a miracle cure but makes a noticeable difference for sure.

I use the halo when I run in July, it's pretty decent. Keeps my core temp down enough to finish my workouts. Just make sure you got spare ice inserts.

Does anyone know if they ship to like, New York City quickly? I'm going on a trip soon and need it by next week.

M Mark 1 week ago
I got mine in California in about 5 days, so NYC might be similar? Standard shipping usually takes 5-7 business days, I think.

Mine arrived in like 3 days to Pennsylvania, but that was just one item. Might depend on what you order and if they're busy.

can first responders get a discount? like nurses and stuff?

C Colin 2 weeks ago
Yep! I'm a nurse and got a discount. You just have to verify through a service they use.

My buddy who's a firefighter got one, so I'd say yes. Just look for the link to verify your status on their site.

Can you actually wash the halo or the headbands? Or do they just get gross after a while?

A Amber 2 weeks ago
Yeah, you can wash them. I just hand wash mine with some mild soap and air dry. Holds up fine.

The fabric parts are washable. I throw mine in a gentle cycle in a laundry bag and then hang it to dry. Just make sure to take out the ice inserts first!

thinking about getting one of these, but what's the deal with returns? like if it doesn't fit or something?

J June Nguyen 1 month ago
Returns were pretty straightforward for me, just had to pay for shipping it back. They give you a window, like 30 days or something.

Yeah, I returned an extra halo I bought by mistake. No issues, process was smooth. Just check their policy on the site for exact details.
